Training is normally held on a Saturday afternoon at various locations in the vicinity of St Albans, the duration is between one and a half and two hours. Tri-Force is open to both Club Members and those wishing to join, we welcome young people, of all abilities, between the ages of 8 and 16 years, although for insurance reasons swimmers must be capable of swimming a minimum of 50 metres unaided.
Led by Head Coach, Sean McAree, Tri-Force Junior coaches have either Level 1 or Level 2 British Triathlon coaching qualifications, some are also qualified swim coaches, teaching at various swim clubs in the Hertfordshire area.
Our sessions cover all of the skills required to complete the various disciplines of Triathlon (Swim, Cycle, Run & Transition) and are challenging but at the same time maintain an element of fun and provide children with the opportunity to train in a safe and rewarding environment. Our coaches also focus on developing the juniors overall fitness by delivering strength and conditioning sessions.
For those who are more competitive, additional Cycle and Open Water swim sessions are organised at appropriate times of the year.
