Tri-Force Juniors Awards Night 2017

The evening started inauspiciously for probably half of the Tri-Force Juniors and their parents who were parked outside last years venue, Fleetville Junior School, waiting for the doors to open and no sign of the caretaker. If only they had read the email from the chair correctly as the venue was Fleetville Infants School!!!!!!

With everyone finally at the correct venue, proceeding started with a delicious buffet supplied by the parents
and Barry Thorn supplying the music
and the opportunity to buy new club kit.
Sean McAree, the Head Coach, gave a brief summary of the 2016 season, including the multiple club events that had been held and the East Region events. With the help of the outgoing captains, Adam Hughes and Alannah Mabbs, the awards were presented for the evening.

With the awards presented it was time for the raffle with numerous prizes in all shapes and sizes on offer and some very happy recipients.

The evening concluded with the kids playing numerous games organized by the coaching team, while the parents attended the AGM presided over by the chair Hannah Avis who gave a brief resume of the club’s financial position and highlights of the previous year.
A huge thank you was given to Hannah Avis, Angela Basit, Rachel and Jason Crooks and Alan Mabbs who were all standing down from the committee after a number of years service.

Sean, Paul and Dani agreed to continue in their current roles on the Committee with Richard Gray taking over as Chair, Stephen Crowley as Treasure, Ceri Laird as Welfare Officer and Nerys Bint as the Webmaster. Good luck to the 2017 Committee.
Daniel Powell also agreed to take on the Race Administration duties.

The Committee are still looking to fill the club secretary, sponsorship and publicity roles and anyone interested should contact the Chair. With the club growing at the rate it is, the more help parents can provide in volunteering to fill these roles will make the running of the club much smoother and enable future plans to be brought to fruition sooner.

Finally a big thank you to Hannah Avis for organizing the excellent venue and Barry Thorn for providing the music and sound system.
