Club championships
The club decided to encourage Tri-Force Junior participation at the Eastern League and Club events through the club championships. Points were awarded for the best 3 scoring events within the Eastern League in addition to club racing points. The age group winners were as follows:

Training Awards
These are awarded to members who have shown enthusiasm and commitment during training sessions with a positive attitude & good behaviour

Newcomer Awards
These are awarded to a new member who has joined the club and shown commitment to integrating with the team, listening to coaches and been a positive asset to the club. Has shown interest in attending club & external events.

TFJ Spirit Award
This is awarded to the triathlete who demonstrates a fantastic team spirit through encouragement & support to our other triathletes.
The award went to Jonathan Bint for always demonstrating enthusiasm at the Eastern Region races, smiling all the way round, and cheering on other TFJ members at races. Keep it up Jonathan
Club Captain 2019
This is awarded to a senior member (male or female) who regularly attends training and races, demonstrates positive behaviour and leadership abilities, who younger members look to for advice and motivation. Willing to volunteer to help at training or events as needed using their own initiative.
Our new club captain for 2019 is Jordan Walters. What a great choice
Triathlete of the Year Shield
This is awarded to the triathlete (male or female) who has demonstrated superior performance in the race season to achieve excellent results and has demonstrated good behaviour at events & training to uphold the clubs values.
We had 6 nominations (Antonia, Florence, Christy, Callum, Ethan and Hannah), all who had shown excellent results in different ways.
The shield was awarded to Christy Durbin for being a member of the East Region Academy since Oct 2017 and requalified for 2019. Raced in 6 East Region League races, winning all 6 and in doing so came 1st in the ERL Youth category for the season. Raced in all the Super Series races in 2018 (Youths). Qualified for the U20s Worlds (Lausanne 2019) Sprint distance – draft legal. Represented East of England (one of 2 girls) in the Schools Games. Accepted onto the Hertfordshire Talented Athlete Programme for 2018 – 2019. Attended all East Region tri camps.
Club Contribution Award
This is awarded to a member (or parent) who has shown commitment above and beyond what is expected to the club, this may be demonstrated by helping during training and or events on their own initiative.
The winners were Paul and Fiona Durbin for their fantastic organisation of the open race for the last few years.
