British Modern Triathlon Championships 2015

5 Tri-Force Juniors decided to take up their places in Solihull having qualified from the East Region Modern Triathlon Championships.

As expected the competition was very stiff with competitors from all the other regions in the country, but what a great experience for all the Tri-Force Juniors.

The results were as follows:

U11 Girls – Amelia Weaire was 6th in both the shoot and swim before a 4th place in the combined run and shoot meant she finished in 6th place.

U13 Girls – Christy Durbin was 14th in the shoot, 17th in the swim and then 11th in the combined run and shoot to come 14th overall.
Sadly Sophie Mabbs was unable to compete as it clashed with the Arena League Swimming Finals, however her score from the Regional heat would have put her in 2nd place overall.

U15 Girls – Alannah Mabbs was 10th in the shoot having had issues with her new gun, 13th in the swim and 5th in the combined run and shoot to come 7th overall and helped her pentathlon club win team gold.

Open Women – Frankie Durbin was 2nd in all 3 disciplines to finish in a great 2nd place.

U15 Boys – James Mabbs was 22nd in the shoot, 23rd in the swim and 16th in the combined run and shoot to come 24th overall.

Hopefully all of the Tri-Force Juniors enjoyed the experience of competing in a national competition.
