The British Schools Biathlon was held at the Olympic Park with the swim in the Olympic Pool in the Aquatics Centre.
The competition was held over 2 days with the girls in favourable conditions on the Saturday and the boys in wind and rain on the Sunday.
8 Tri-Force Juniors had qualified from the regional heats for the final which has a separate swim and run with points awarded based on times.
The results were as follows:
U10 Girls – Sara Laitner was 34th in the swim and 43rd in the run to come 31st overall out of 115 competitors.
U12 Girls – Sophie Mabbs was 5th in the swim and 14th in the run to come 6th overall and win the final trophy on offer for her age group. Only 6 points separated 5th and 7th places so it was really close.
Christy Durbin was 110th in the swim and 72nd in the run to come 92nd out of 128 competitors.
Under 14 Girls – Jessica Laitner was 27th in the swim and 16th in the run to come 17th overall.
Alannah Mabbs was 63rd in the swim and 71st in the run to come 70th out of 80 competitors.
Under 19 Girls – Frankie Durbin was 22nd in the swim and 15th in the run to come 20th overall.
Under 12 Boys – Saric Lewington was 26th in the swim and 117th in the run to come 102nd out of 124 competitors.
James Mabbs decided not to take up his place in the Under 13 race and instead competed in the East Essex Aquathlon.
