Another very competitive field gathered for the Infinity Aquathlon in Chelmsford. The race started with the younger children, although there were no representatives for Tri-Force in the Tristart category.
Tristar 1 age group
We had 4 Tri-Force representatives: Lucas Hartley, Callum Powell, Mackenzie Holt and Rebecca Bint.
Lucas Hartley had the fastest Tristar 1 swim time and a speedy transition to put himself into a great position for the run. There were a number of quick runners but Lucas came across the line in 8th position to secure a 3rd place overall.
Callum swam well to be 8th quickest boy out of the water and with a long run to T1 managed to wrestle a few seconds back from the quicker swimmers. Onto the windy out and back run course, Callum worked his way through the field and managed to get himself into 4th place (boy) and 5th overall with the third quickest run time.
In the girls’ race, there was a large field of 34 competitors. Mackenzie Holt had the 24th fastest swim and a 15th placed run to finish 16th overall. Rebecca had a few issues with the swim but managed to pull some places back on transition and the run to finish in 29th position.
Tristar 2 age group
We had 4 Tri-Force representatives: Jaime Powell, Jonathan Bint, Antonia Jubb and Zara Mohammedbhai.
In the boys’ Tristar 2 race, 36 children took part. Jonathan had the 24th fastest swim and a 23rd placed run to finish 21st overall.
After a lengthy lay off from training and racing, Jamie performed strongly. 8th quickest boy out of the water and 10th fastest run saw Jamie into 9th place (boy) and 12th overall. With plenty more to come this summer Jamie was very pleased with his efforts.
In the girls’ race, there were 20 competitors. Antonia Jubb dominated with the fastest Tri2 swim and run time, to win 1st place.
Zara Mohammedbhai had the 12th fastest swim and a 16th placed run to finish 15th overall
Tristar 3 age group
We had 3 Tri-Force representatives: Zak Mohammedbhai, Christina Durbin and Caitlin Hartley.
In the boys’ race, there was a field of 25. Zak finished 19th overall after a 21st placed swim.
In the girls’ race, Christina Durbin had the 5th fastest swim, and a 1st placed run to finish 2nd overall

Youth age group
Finally, we had 3 Tri-Force representatives: Louis Paganuzzi, Hannah Trotman and Ros Chase.
Louis Paganuzzi, had the 11th fastest swim, and a 12th placed run to finish 12th overall. Normally, Louis has a much faster run but he unfortunately completed an extra lap.
Hannah Trotman had the 15th fastest swim, and a 6th placed run to finish 8th overall
Ros Chase had the 12th fastest swim, and a 16th placed run to finish 15th overall
Well done to all who took part
