The sun shone for the Leighton Buzzard Triathlon. Unfortunately, Tri-Force did not have any competitors in the Tristart or Youth race but we had a good turnout for the other categories.
Tri 1 Boys
A fastest swim time by Lucas Hartley put him great contention for the race. He managed to fight off the competition on the bike and run to finish 2nd place overall.
Callum Powell has been so consistent this season but unfortunately narrowly missed out on third place by a mere 2 seconds and second place by 8 seconds.
Newbee to the Tri-Force Team, Oscar Mitchell had a magnificent race, finishing in 17th place overall out of the 41 starters.
Tri 1 Girls
Mackenzie Holt did superbly well finishing a strong 8th out of a large field of 25.
Tri 2 Boys
Jaime Powell had a great race, posting one of the fastest transition 2 times. He came 7th out of the large field of 41 competitors.
Tri 2 Girls
A terrific performance from Antonia Jubb to finish in 1st place, crossing the line a minute and a half ahead of second place.
Florence Crowley performed superbly coming 6th overall; it was only a slightly slower bike leg that prevented her from climbing further up the final placings.
Robyn Hartley also had a great swim, finishing overall in 22th place out of the 25 competing.
Tri 3 Girls
Jess Thorn narrowly missed out on a podium position but should be very pleased with her 4th place.
Caitlin Hartley had the second fastest swim time and came a creditable 10th out of 15 finishers.
Well done to everyone
