Francesca Durbin (Coach) and Paul Durbin (Race Director) took part in the Vitality World Triathlon event held in Hyde Park in central London.
Francesca competed on the Saturday in nice dry conditions in the British Junior Aquathlon Championships and came 17th in the womens junior event.
Paul, who only took up multi sport events a couple of years ago decided to give the Olympic Distance (1500m open water swim, 40km bike and 10km run) triathlon a go and was very unlucky as the weather was wet and cold. He still managed to do really well and was 59th in his age group and is convinced that he would be able to go quicker in the future having now had experience of pacing a race for that distance. Unfortunately for him he couldn’t compare his time to the Brownlee brothers as they only did the sprint distance!!!
